The Best DIY Pumpkin Hair Masks

Pumpkin is a staple ingredient for food and drinks during the fall season. But did you know that pumpkin is also good for your hair? The iconic orange fruit known to be carved into scary or silly faces for Halloween should really be carved and cut down to be put on your hair. The moisturizing effects that pumpkin has on your hair are due to its many nutrients and vitamins, including vitamins A, C, E, and potassium as well as antioxidants beta-carotene and zinc. These minerals and vitamins nourish the scalp and are essential in enhancing the appearance and growth of the hair. This is why we dedicated this blog to provide you with the best DIY hair masks made with pumpkin so that your hair will stay healthy even through the driest and coldest of seasons!

Pumpkin Spice Hair Mask

Ingredients: Pumpkin puree, coconut oil, and honey.

In a mixing bowl, add ¼ cup of canned or homemade pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoons of unrefined coconut oil, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix all ingredients until the mixture looks like a paste, and then apply the mixture all over the hair from the scalp to the ends. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, and wash the mask off with your go-to hair products. We recommend using the Nutrifuse Nourishing Shampoo and Moisture-Rich Conditioner, for the best results.

Pumpkin and Oat Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

Ingredients: Pumpkin pulp or puree, raw coconut oil, raw shea butter, vegetable oil, and organic oatmeal power.

In a mixing bowl, add 2 oz of pumpkin pulp or puree, 2 oz of your raw coconut oil, and 2 oz of raw shea butter as well as 1 oz of vegetable oil together. Lastly, add 1 tablespoon of oatmeal powder and mix it in with the rest of the ingredients in the bowl. To make this hair mask into a conditioner, you can refine the ingredients even more by mixing them in a blender. Afterward, apply the hair mask to your ends and leave it in for about 10-15 minutes. Wash hair as usual.

Pumpkin Hair Mask

Afterward, apply the mixture all over the scalp and hair and leave-in for 30 minutes. Wash the hair as usual, and enjoy the results. We recommend to repeat or use these hair masks about once a week for optimum results.
