DIY Hair Mask for Dry Hair

Ingredients You'll Need:
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 Avocado
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Why These Ingredients Work:

All three ingredients are packed with nutrients and vitamins that will transform your hair in just 30 minutes. We all know bananas are full of potassium, but what can that do for your hair? Well, along with the bananas natural oils, the potassium softens the hair and protects the elasticity of your strands to avoid split ends and breakage. Avocados are loaded with Vitamin B which is one of the greatest vitamins for growing healthy, strong hair. The vitamins present in avocados are quickly absorbed by the scalp giving you a two-in-one treatment for hair and scalp worries.

Directions:

Mash or blend half of a banana and half an avocado. Slowly drizzle in olive oil as you mix until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Rub it through your hair and scalp and cover with a shower cap. Let the ingredients absorb for up to 30 minutes and rinse out with lukewarm water. Wash your hair with regular shampoo to remove any excess particles left behind. Rinse with cold water again.

DIY Hair Mask for Oily Hair

Ingredients You'll Need:
- 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. aloe vera gel
- 1 egg yolk

Why These Ingredients Work:

Lemon juice has an acidic makeup which can be harsh when used alone but combined with the strengthening and calming properties of honey and aloe vera gel, it provides purification for those who have oily scalps. The egg will act as a natural conditioner for the hair and scalp too.

Directions:

In a bowl, mix the lemon juice and honey and slowly add in the Aloe Vera gel. Whip the ingredients together with one egg yolk and apply to the scalp. Let the ingredients soak into the scalp for 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Once cleaned, wash your hair as you typically would and enjoy more purified hair.

DIY Hair Mask for Dull Hair

Ingredients You'll Need:
- 1 egg
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Why These Ingredients Work:

As we mentioned before, eggs provide a natural conditioning element to the hair without the greasy residue. Combined with coconut milk, these ingredients work together to restore dry, damaged hair and heal split ends. A touch of lemon purifies any product build-up or residue that may be lurking behind from heavy hair care products, and the olive oil adds extra conditioning on top of the egg and coconut milk.

Directions:

Crack one egg into a bowl and whip together with 1 cup of coconut milk and two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Mix with a touch of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Massage the mixture into the scalp and rinse out with cold water after 20 minutes.
